With the Under 9 division we allow parents to assist either to guide or to push their child into waves. We always use a very safe part of the beach where the waves are not dumping.

Scoring is based on the amount of time the surfer spends standing with extra points allocated for any subtle direction changes or for dropping down green face.
All surfers go in the draw for prizes.
